When south meets north

A group of musicians from southwest Virginia will be playing at the Irvington Town Hall on Friday September 12 at 8 pm. I will be sitting in for a couple of tunes with Gerald Anderson and Spencer Strickland. There will also be a performance Sunday September 14 at Jalopy in Red Hook. Workshops given by the musicians in both playing and building will be in the afternoon.

The big event for old time and bluegrass jamming (as well as a fantastic lineup of performers, workshops and films) is coming up at the Park Slope Jamboree out at the Ethical Cultural Center in Park Slope. The Jalopy event above is an extension of this year's Jamboree.
